oriental_kitty: The whole gender issues

Okay, I'm a feminist.  I'll admit that, and yes, I can sometimes be cruel about men, but as time goes on one realizes how the scales are not tipped towards one side, the scales are more like twisted and distorted.  Women are still being held back in some areas of jobs, men are being blamed for problems, and everyones just having a freakin' ball blaming the other gender!  Now that's where things just get all ... messed up in a way things shouldn't be.  In truth both genders are suffering in the modern world.

How are women held back in jobs? Men have been going crazy trying to get more female engineers and whatnot. Or are we just doing it wrong or something?

I think it's difference in dealing with things like maternity leave and equal opportunites, promotion, and maybe even discrimination with wages.

Hi my name's April, I'm in the 12th grade and I'm doing a project for government on gender discrimination. I was wondering if you could help me by answering a few questions. After 9/11, do you know anyone who has been discriminated against because they were male or female? Can you describe what happened and how it made you feel? Please leave your age. Thank You

I personally would like to see more people be more responsible and spend les time blaming others, if only because nothing is accomplished that way.

PS: I think feminists blew it. There was a time when you had the world in your palm and you lost all you gained because you couldn't maintain it. No one shall ever forget that, nor should they. Power never stays in the hands of one group or demographic or whatever... it keeps changing.
